The Powerful Ford Edge

Ford offers two engine options for the 2020 Ford Edge. Standard with the Edge is a responsive turbocharged direct-injection twin-scroll 2.0L EcoBoost® 4-cylinder engine.

A light and compact 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine with aluminum heads offers even more power. The 2.7L produces 335 horsepower with 380 lb-ft of torque. Composed of lightweight graphite iron, the 2.7L EcoBoost is the most powerful gasoline V6 engine in its class.

The 2020 Ford Edge ST offers a Sport driving mode for a thrilling experience. This advanced transmission of the ST also features a specially tuned shift scheduling algorithm that adapts to your driving style and road conditions ahead.

Intelligent AWD comes standard on the Edge ST and is available on all other models. This AWD uses sensors that constantly monitor your traction to help weather the tough road conditions ahead.

Intelligent AWD balances torque between the front and rear wheels for improved handling and maximized traction.

Standard on Edge ST, and available on the SEL and Titanium, is the Class II Trailer Tow Package (AWD required) capable of towing 3,500 pounds. Trailer sway control takes most of the thinking out of the equation by automatically detecting when the trailer is swaying. Once measured, the technology applies the brakes and/or reduces engine torque to maintain control.

Driving Convenience

Drivers of the 2020 Ford Edge enjoy the convenience of SYNC® 3 with Ford+Alexa technology. This incorporates the innovative convenience possibilities that Amazon Alexa offers. When operators use the Ford+Alexa app while connected to the SYNC 3 AppLink®, they have access to voice navigation, traffic information, Amazon Prime shopping, and their compatible smart-home devices.

Ford SYNC 3 AppLink with Waze is also available to help drivers navigate traffic jams with ease.
